The Save-On-Foods Kitchen is actually an amazing spot to grab a delicious lunch

It might not technically be a “restaurant,” but we’re not complaining.

Hear us out here.

We know that our readers come to us for the latest and greatest in the Tri-Cities food scene, and we hope we’ve been doing an admirable job of providing that information.

So we’d understand some skepticism at our inclusion of, you know, Save-On as a featured place to eat. We were skeptical at first, too… but Save-On really is an amazing place to grab some food when feeling peckish, and we don’t just mean a basket full of groceries.

Time and time again our Eat Tri-Cities Facebook group members have recommended the grocery store as a place to go for hot eats, so we finally decided to try it out for ourselves.

And yeah, it definitely delivered.

We had the Madras curry bowl, the red Thai curry bowl, and a spinach and chicken pizza, and all three dishes were absolutely delicious.

It didn’t hurt that both bowls came in at just $10 apiece, either.

Those looking to grab some grub from the Save-On-Foods Kitchen will also have their choice of fresh-pressed juice, a build-your-own poké bowl station, sushi, an artisan bakery, and much more.

Check it out at Coquitlam’s Sunwood Square Mall.
