Have the happiest of hours at Orrange Kitchen + Bar

If you’re looking for a good Happy Hour spot, this is the place.

Port Coquitlam’s Orrange Kitchen + Bar might just be the best local spot for a cocktail in the whole city. The ambiance is on par with the Cactus Clubs and Earls of the world, but the fact that this restaurant is a standalone means it gets local cred from us—not to mention that it comes up with some seriously solid specials.

Just a glance at the Happy Hour menu (which is a very generous 2 to 6pm and 9pm to close) shows that you can keep an appy and a drink under $20, and the daily drink features are nothing to scoff at, either.

We had the gorgeously prepared monkey pod mai tai, a bold take on a Hawaiian classic with macadamia nut syrup and decadent passion fruit foam.

Orrange also makes for a great spot to post up for football, as the restaurant is usually playing the big games on its many screens.

If football’s not your vibe, there’s always the sizable patio to escape to (so long as the weather holds out, that is!).

Orrange can be found at 111-1125 Nicola Ave. in Port Coquitlam, opens at 11:30am, and closes at 10pm Sunday through Wednesday, 11pm on Wednesday, and midnight on Friday and Saturday.
