Mary Brown’s is a must-try for fried chicken lovers
They’ve got some serious deals.
If you’re craving some fried chicken and need it fast, Mary Brown’s is the place to go.
The Port Coquitlam spot opened last April and has been churning out chicken by the bucketful ever since, so we decided to pop by to find out if the hype was real.
We were delighted to learn that Mary Brown’s actually cooks its chicken using a pressure cooker rather than a deep fryer, resulting in a “fried” chicken that is markedly less greasy than some of its counterparts, but remaining quite crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.
The biscuits were buttery and even better when dipped in the gravy, the creamy coleslaw was a hit, and the banana pudding was the perfect way to end off the meal.
The recently opened Port Coquitlam location is actually Mary Brown’s second in the Tri-Cities—it can also be found in Port Moody at 138 Brew St.
