Gordon Ramsay Burger Vancouver is now open, but is it good?

It’s been a few days says Gordon Ramsay Burger opened in Vancouver Coquitlam, and everyone’s wondering the same thing: is it good?

I would go back after a while to let them sort things out with service

Here’s Cesar, who went for lunch the day after opening.

Farmhouse burger was perfect 10/10 and I would go back and not even try any other. I’ve seen posts about the fries but in our case they were not served on the plate and the quantity was pretty decent, the made-in-house ketchup and sauce were really tasty. We shared a Vanilla shake that was pretty standard 7/10.

The service was not very efficient, they even gave us the Cokes for free with refills for how long it took to get a server. They were also out of some of the shakes in the menu and being just the second day after opening we felt that was really disappointing.

Personally, I would go back after a while to let them sort things out with service. The food on the other hand was excellent!

Overall would for sure go back again

Here’s what Brandie said, who went on opening night and gave it an 8/10.

Went on opening night, a group of 8. Would recommend waiting a week or two till they iron out some kinks.

Appetizers: 🫕

⁃ Kettle Chip Nachos (9/10) Very yum!

⁃ Street corn dip (8/10) needs more chips.

Burgers: 🍔

⁃ Backyard Burger (6/10) Dry, no sauces.

⁃ Farmhouse Burger (6/10) Dry, no sauces. Egg is prepared runny so will need to request if like cooked hard.

⁃ Southern Yardbird (10/10) Delicious! I subbed out the BBQ mustard for their eggless garlic mayo.

Sides: 🍟

⁃ Fries (6/10) Nothing special, not many on some of our plates.

⁃ Parm Fries (7/10) Good but not sure worth the extra $3.50.

⁃ Ceasar Salad (6/10) Ok, not amazing. I tend to be a ceasar salad snob.

Salads: 🥗

⁃ Hellfire Chicken Salad (9/10) subbed out the blue cheese for feta. Chicken was spicy but very good.

⁃ Ceasar Salad (6/10) I have a high standard for ceasar salads and prefer garlicky rich taste. Not a fan of goat cheese. The apples were weird but ok.

Shakes: 🥤

⁃ Oreo crème brûlée (9/10) sweet but yummy, crunch on top

⁃ Sticky toffee (9/10) sweet, liked the ice cream component

⁃ Mango/Coconut Chai (8/10) didn’t taste much coconut but still very yummy!

⁃ Strawberry (9/10) yummy and thick

Overall would for sure go back again. The prices are truly comparable to other dine out burgers. There were multiple issues with our order, running out of milkshake flavours, our take out orders (for kids at home) were lost and took forever, kinda took away the awe factor.

However, I’ve booked for New Years Eve and now know to add sauces to any of the burgers and will be back for the Yardbird, shakes, and nachos!

Best burger I’ve ever had

Sweet potato fries were excellent. Street corn dip is delicious. I had the Hells Kitchen Burger.

I had the chicken sandwich, pricey, but yummy!

Absolute must try!

Here’s what Des said, who went on opening day:

Hubby and I love burgers and would score their Hell’s Kitchen Burger a 10/10. The burger wasn’t oily/soggy and the patty was perfectly cooked and seasoned, it was my first time having a burger with roasted tomatoes and it was a game changer, I might try doing this at home.

And can we talk about the milkshake?! If my husband can lick all the way to the end of the glass I think he would 😆 the creme brulee with the oreo milkshake is a winner for us.

I wasn’t expecting there would be any downside but we were slightly underwhelmed with the amount of fries, it was perfectly crisp not soggy but we certainly wished there was more on the plate. As it is the first day and servers are getting a feel of the flow, our server was a little frazzled but I’m sure it’ll get better from here.

Ambience was great, I like the style and design. Food presentation I agree with the comments, it’s like a 4/10 and I think I’m being nice with that rating, but the burger and milkshake tasted way better than the presentation.

Would we come back? Absolutely for a special occasion to try other dishes as today we were already full to begin with.

We ate there tonight and the food was terrible, service not so bad.

He has one of his chef friends approving food going to tables and that shocks me with what we got today for 100 bucks.

I’d take a Red Robin’s burger any day

I took my son .. service was good .. burger was ok .. as was lobster roll.. best lobster roll is still Joe Fortes .. I’d take a Red Robin’s burger any day
