Float30’s clam chowder is comfort in a bowl
It’s hot. It’s hearty. It’s heaven.
There’s nothing quite like a big bowl of clam chowder to put your mind (and stomach) at ease—especially when the weather is anything but beautiful.
Float30 at Port Moody’s Reed Point Marina might not be the most popular spot in the dead of winter, at least compared with the throngs of boaters it sees in the warmer months, but that’s no reason not to check it out, even when the weather outside is frightful.
We’d even argue that winter is the ideal time to sit down to a bowl of the Float30 seafood chowder, as it is sure to warm both spirit and body.
We tried out the spot and had the clam chowder (obviously), as well as the classic burger and the blackened steelhead. Standouts were definitely the coleslaw that came with the burger, though the fries were in the running when it came to Best Side—they were super fresh and soft.
One of the best things about eating at Float30? Infinite fries.
If only they came with the chowder; then we would never be able to leave.
