Port Moody is about to get an award-winning pizza spot

That honey butter crust!

Port Moody is about to get even more saucy, cheesy and crispy than ever before.

Award-winning pizzeria Emilio Finatti, known for their thin, low-gluten crusts and Italian fusion toppings, is opening up a new location on St Johns Street this April, replacing the former New York-style Pizza Station that used to be there.

This will be the fourth Emilio Finatti location to open in B.C. and the second to open in the Tri-Cities—Port Coquitlam is home to the company’s headquarters, the testing grounds for new recipes as well as their only dine-in location.

As one of the winners at the Las Vegas International Pizza Challenge in 2019 and Port Coquitlam’s Best Biz Awards in 2023, the small chain has been recognized for providing exceptional customer service and, of course, making unique and delicious pies.

Emilio Finatti’s menu features a few appetizers (think meatballs doused in marinara and garlic flatbread), salads and an extensive list of pizzas and calzones. All pizzas can be made into calzones, if desired, and made gluten-free with plenty of options for customization to create that perfect slice.

Their vast list of flavour combinations go far beyond the familiar.

If you’re feeling experimental, try their pierogi pizza topped with sour cream, smoked bacon, hot capicollo and rosemary potatoes. How about a “moro orange” pie with pear and onion balsamic glaze, beets, arugula, goat cheese and orange segments? (We’re over the exhausted pineapple on pizza debate, who wants an orange slice?)

Regardless of your pizza choice, you’ll get to experience Emilio Finatti’s iconic honey butter crust which adds a pleasant touch of sweetness and a distinctly delicious flavour. Combined with toppings like Genoa salami or parmesan, it strikes a perfect balance between salty and sweet.

Emilio Finatti’s Port Moody location is expected to open by April 10; in the meantime, you can visit their Port Coquitlam store to get a preview of what’s to come.

You can find more details about their menu and offerings on their website.
