Cartems Donuts opening in Coquitlam

The Vancouver donut shop is expanding!

Earlier this month, Vancouver’s longstanding donut shop Cartems announced they were closing their Downtown location permanently (their Mount Pleasant location isn’t affected).

“Our beloved Cartems Donuts shop on West Pender will be serving its last donuts on November 26, as the building is set to be demolished for new development,” they posted on November 8.

“This is not goodbye, but a transition,” they said about their flagship location that opened in 2012. “We are filled with gratitude for the memories and friendships we’ve made here. Stay tuned for future updates.”

Then on November 19 they teased they were moving to Coquitlam and were “eager to serve you fresh, delicious donuts from our new and improved location starting November 30.”

Does this mean they’ll have a Coquitlam storefront?

Not yet, they say. In the beginning, you can order online (through Skip The Dishes or Uber Eats).

“But we are planning to have a storefront soon.”

So get ready, friends. Cartems is coming to the Tri-Cities, starting November 30.
