Test your spice tolerance with the Brutal Butterica Challenge
For a chance to take home $500
Ever wanted to participate in a food challenge? Well here’s your chance.
Milaap Indian Kitchen is running the Brutal Butterica Chicken 2022 Challenge that pits would-be participants against a 3 million Scoville pure pepper extract, which is twice the heat of a Carolina Reaper pepper.
Yeah, that’s a lot of Scoville.
Here’s how the contest works:
Head to this website and sign up for just $1.95. You’ll then be able to pick up the Brutal Butterica Chicken at Milaap Indian Kitchen’s Eagle Ridge Plaza location at 315-1196 Lansdowne Dr. in Coquitlam between noon and 2pm on Nov. 27.
Take the dish home (or to wherever you want to burn your tongue off) and eat it while going live on the Eat Tri-Cities’ Facebook group, or on an Instagram live that you then share to the Facebook page.
You don’t even have to finish the dish—just have fun eating it to be entered for the $500 prize. The winner will be decided by a poll in the group determining who seemed to have the most fun.
The only rules?
No sides allowed – the butter chicken must be eaten as is
Drinks are allowed
Must be 18+ to enter (there will be a waiver to sign when you pick up the dish)
So… who’s feeling brave?
