Meet a Maker: Amelie’s Cakehaus has exactly what you need for that holiday sweet-tooth

Nothing says the holidays quite like baking up some tasty treats! 

And while some of us may be absolute disasters when it comes to anything to do with the oven, there are plenty of local makers and bakers who are happy to take on that work when the winter season rolls around.

Enter, Amelie Janzen of Amelie’s Cakehaus, who recently let us know that she has begun taking orders for all of the delicious holiday-themed goodies she’s been working on. 

Included in this year’s batch of baked goods are Lebkuchen (German gingerbread), Hilda cookie, roasted candied almonds, pretzels Christstollen (German sweet loaf), yeast dough swirls, apple cinnamon, and syrup to make real glühwein (mulled wine).

She’s also got some loaded hot chocolate bombs in the following flavours: 

Dark chocolate flavours:

- Reese's- Oreo- Double chocolate marshmallow- Skor and caramel- Mint- Hazelnut mocha (with coffee)- Candy cane

White chocolate flavours:

- Christmas spice- Coconut- Butterscotch- White chocolate marshmallow
