8 places to enjoy craft beer in the Tri-Cities
Getting you ready for the ultimate bar crawl
There’s certainly no shortage of great breweries to check out in the Tri-Cities. Whether you’re looking for quick, grab-and-go drink options or a fun night out (hello, Port Moody Ale Trail!), we’ve got you covered.
Here’s a list of some of our favourite spots in the area. Cheers!
Ever heard the expression “diamond in the rough?” Mariner Brewing—a grey, industrial garage-like storefront with an impressive assortment of craft beers and snacks inside—is very much like that diamond. They offer a creative list of beers on tap, like Banana Pancakes wheat beer and Peach Crumble sour, funky “Beertails” and a variety of classic bar snacks that make for the perfect food accompaniment. Not feeling boozy? No problem! They’ve got a wide selection of tasty non-alcoholic beverages too.

At Patina Brewing, it’s clear that both beer and food are of equal importance. Be sure to come with an empty stomach, as Southern barbecue offerings like smoked brisket and pulled pork will be hard to resist, as well as both traditional and non-traditional beer options (Horchata Cream Ale and Earl Grey Stout, just to name a few) Added bonus: they do brunch every Sunday till 2pm.

This cozy brewery in Port Coquitlam has a wide selection of rap-themed IPAs and pale ales to try out—“Check the Rhynd” anyone? How about Christmas C.R.E.A.M?—available for both dine-in and takeout. Northpaw also works with local butchers, cheese makers and bakers to provide hot food and snacks (all day, every day) to anyone stopping by.

Tucked away at the foot of Eagle Mountain in Port Moody’s Ale Trail, Parkside Brewery’s spacious tasting room and picnic area are great spots to visit if you’re with a large group of friends. They have a generous selection of year-round and limited edition beers as well as rotating food trucks that can be found on premises on certain days of the week. You can find more details on their beers and food truck schedule on their website.

The overall aesthetic of Rewind Beer Co. is reason enough to pay them a visit—the space is lined with hot pink chairs, neon lights and vintage posters, giving off a sleek, retro vibe. Their beer selection is just as cool, with names like Laser Lite, Star Search and Rainbow Road making you feel like you’re a character in an animated movie or video game. Feeling snacky? They have pizza too, though it’s only offered at specific times throughout the week. You can find more information here.

This brewery is the perfect option for beer and dog lovers alike. With a huge, laid back tasting room and outdoor picnic area, it’s a charming spot to grab drinks with friends.
